I've been reading this forum for the last 2 months, I want to get to know the gambler's point of view, I have 4 years in the business and just getting started as a lines manager, so I want to get the whole picture...

If somebody says they are fading you...it means they are picking the other side of your bets because they think you are a poor handicapper.

Juice or vig -- the extra money a player must risk to win a set amount when wagering.

Eg. basketball side:

Duke - 6 -110 - you risk $110 to win $100 the extra $10 is juice or vig.

usually means you are willing to pay extra for 1/2 a point. example line is team a +3 -110. you want 3 1/2 points so you are willing to pay juice at -120 for it.
